We're not your average family! We're a family of five who chose a different path. Many different paths, in fact. Entrepreneurship, Homeschooling, moving across the world from our family. What started as a desire to spend more time together has grown into a life filled with adventures, books, meaningful conversations, and a whole lot of curiousity!

Raised At Home Co. was born from a simple belief:
Family life can be rich, curious, and
beautifully different.
We met in college and the rest is history!
We're both former attorneys who
traded the traditional path for purpose, flexibility, and a life that puts our family first. We started homeschooling our three boys to create a learning life that works for us, one that's full of real-world learning, meaningful connections, and time together

ADVENTURE
Adventure has always been a part of who we are.
Sometimes that has looked like traveling somewhere new. Other times, it has looked like saying yes to something that felt a little scary, a little outside our comfort zone, or a little different from what everyone else around us was doing. It has looked like building businesses, choosing homeschool, and even helping our boys dream up ideas of their own, like starting an online book shop.
For our family, adventure isn’t just about going places. It’s about being willing to try, explore, build, and create a life that feels fully lived!
If adventure is part of our family’s spirit, books are part of our family’s rhythm!
I've loved reading since I was a kid and now I get to impart that love to my children! Read-alouds have shaped our homeschool more than almost anything else. They’ve sparked curiosity, sent us down rabbit trails, inspired projects, and given us some of our favorite memories around the table and on the couch. Books have opened the door to conversations we might not have had otherwise, and introduced us to people and places far beyond our own world,
Books are one of the ways we slow down, connect, and build a family culture we genuinely love!
CONVERSATION
Conversation became a pillar almost by accident.
As our boys got older, we found ourselves having bigger, deeper, and often more interesting conversations around our table. We realized we wanted them to know how to form opinions, think through different perspectives, and express themselves with both confidence and respect. As attorneys ourselves, debate seemed like a natural, and fun, way to teach this!
That’s a big part of how That’s Debatable! was born. We believe kids should learn how to think, not just what to think. Around here, conversation isn’t just talking. It’s how we learn to listen well, speak clearly, think deeply, and grow together!

The boys started an online bookshop back in 2023! It was short lived but it was fun and ignited a passion for entrepreneurship.

I have to have a Vanilla Chai Latte every single day. My local Starbucks may or may not know my order before I order it...

We've travelled to Australia by cruise TWICE! The longest was an 18 night itinerary and we loved every minute of it!

Reading is my favorite pastime - Historical Fiction, Romance and Fantasy are some of my favorite!

We owned a law firm for 7.5 years before closing it down to move to Hawaii! We learned so much through that experience!
